More on moving

DH talked to his director again yesterday.  She wants to take us out to dinner in a few weeks and talk about the house.  She'd let us move in June and live there rent free for two months since our lease is up July 31st- she just doesn't want the house empty.  We could definitely take our time moving in and painting.  I have to paint back 3 rooms in this apartment back to white anyway, plus a ton of touch up. Plus, she'd let us make any improvements we wanted to the house (painting, lighting, etc) and she'd pay for it. 

DH said we could go to my favorite retro store in St Louis and rent a truck for my birthday if we get the house, since we'll have an empty living room that'll need a couch, some side chairs, coffee table, lamps, artwork...  I him so much.   Yes, that just might be the reason I want to move so much.  That and the dishwasher.  What would we even do with 2.5 bathrooms?! 

 I really want this to work out!  Maybe 2010 is shaping up to be awesome.  

In other news, DH's school has a retention survey that all students take.  He alone is the reason that 25% of students stay at the school.  Did I mention he's the 3rd highest rated teacher in the entire system of 17 campuses?

 And, after living without a dishwasher in San Diego, I will never go back to living with out one. I totally feel you on that. Same with a garbage disposal.

I think there's a garbage disposal too.  It sucks fishing crap out of the drain with spoon and running over to the garbage can.
