Rec your favorite pasta recipe

I have some girlfriends from work coming over to my house for dinner tonight and have no idea what to cook!  They requested some type of pasta dish.  I have my usuals, but I want to try something new!  Any suggestions?

My favorite is stuffed shells. I mix up a pound of ground hamburger with an egg, a small tub of Ricotta, some parsely, s&p, and a bag of shredded mozzarella and parmesan mix. Put a layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish, stuff cooked jumbo shells and lay in dish open side up. Top with remaining sauce, and then a layer of sliced mozzarella. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes at 375. Super yummy and the most popular dish in my house.

I love this recipe for entertaining and it makes great leftovers the next day!  One word of caution if you go this route though . . . make sure you have a big pan and do not spill any of the sauce.  Its highly flammable due to the vodka and I've managed to set my pan on fire twice now .  Thank goodness DH was there to fan it out!

I usually cook for 8, so I double the recipe.

Fly's manicotti recipe is killer.  My husband and parents can't get enough of it.  It gets bonus points from me for being fun to make, too.

Pasta primavera-sautee some veggies of your choice (mushrooms, squash, peppers, broccoli, sun dried tomatoes etc) with olive oil, garlic, white wine vinegar and italian seasonings.  I sometimes add chicken too for more substance.  It's quick easy and light

This is a staple at our house. Also, we like lasagna made with the no-cook lasagne noodles (we just use the recipe on the noodle box), and chicken fettucini alfredo - egg noodles, cut up chicken breast, and Alfredo sauce from a packet (yeah, we're gourmet cooks) . Another popular one: cooked chicken breast, cut up, tossed with cooked pasta (usually linguini), pesto and toasted pine nuts.
