Ice cubes=little pieces of puppy magic

Out of her million and a half toys, the only thing that will keep herbert's attention for more than 30 seconds is ice. She's so funny with it. First she'll kick it around the floor like she's playing hockey. Then she grabs it with both front paws and licks, then she takes it to her blanket and chews whatever's left. Then she scratches at the babygate so i'll throw her another one. I'm just sitting on the couch with a glass of ice cubes. I'm thinking of freezing her Kong in a cup of water and letting her go to town.

Meanwhile, my sister's in town. She got here last night, took one look at Herbert and went to bed. She's still up there. She's slightly afraid of dogs, so I hope she's not hiding.

  • Ice = great kitty toy too.

Boy kitty thinks refrigerator ice dispenser = toy dispenser.  He'll race into the kitchen anytime he hears it.  At first, he was terrified of it.

  • Jake loves ice cubes, too.

  • One of the dogs favorite things is when I take one of their water dishes and fill it up with ice cubes (preferably crushed) and then put a bit of water.

Ice ranks up there with their other form of cheap entertainment, a value pack of white men's socks.

  • our dogs love ice too, especially Rogue. She'll sit next to the dispenser and look from it to whatever people are in the room, and back and forth until someone gets the hint.

DH and I have been teaching her "speak" - and he heeps rewarding her with ice... so now any time she hears the word "ice" or someone uses the dispenser she'll bark.

  • Papa loves ice, too!  No matter where he is in the house, when he hears the ice dispenser, he comes running with a sliding stop to get what MUST hit the floor.
