Thanks you (& congrats on your new home!). We've been focusing on Corona for a while now; it's just a matter of matching up to the right house. The commute isn't an issue for me since I work from home & R doesn't mind the drive to his current job (and it'll put us close to Metrolink for when academy starts its next session).
How many foreclosures did you end up looking at & making offers on?

We started looking during the summer on our own. Started working with our agent in October. We probably looked at 50+ houses but we weren't focusing on foreclosures. We were just focusing on a particular area...
This was the only offer that we put in. Crazy, huh?
Are you looking at foreclosures?
We haven't been specifically looking at foreclosures (about 85% of the homes listed in the areas we're interested in are short sales) but there's a handful of foreclosures that we've been keeping an eye on. I think I've seen maybe one or two standard sales in the area since we started watching the listings in November.
It's wonderful to hear your only offer went through. I think all of the horror stories of 10+ offers before actually ending up in escrow is starting to jade me.
