iTouch/iPod with video

I received a grant for work and would like to buy some equipment like an iTouch or an iPod with the flip video.

What exactly does an iTouch do?  From what I can tell it plays music and you can download games, etc. onto it.

Would you spring for an iTouch or an iPod that has the new video cameras?

Re: iTouch/iPod with video

  • I'll see if I can help. I love my touch.

The touch is pretty much the same things as the Iphone, just with out the camera and the ability to make phone calls. You can get internet access if your in a WiFi area. It plays music and video's. It's a great multi-media tool.

There has been rumors in the last few month that the next generation of itouch's will have a camera in it, but I'm not sure if it will be for pictures or if it will include video recording, but with the nano having video I can only imagine that the new touch would also. Apple has a media event scheduled for this coming Wednesday and they will be introducing something new, many believe the long awaited tablet computer.

Which would benefit your business more, video recording or internet access right now.

  • I was recently looking at purchasing an iPod/Touch as well and saw this amazing review on Amazon by a guy who extensively compared the Flip video to the Nano video.  His conclusion was the Flip video was far superior, so I guess it really comes down to what you want your device to do.

I got a Flip and haven't had a chance to really use it yet, but I do know others who have it.  From what I understand, even though it's not a "traditional" camera, with their video software, you can select frames from the video to turn into pictures if you like.

  • I have two separate items. We have the iphone (had the touch previously) and love it. The touch does not have a camera. I also have an HD flip cam which is very fun and SO easy to use.
