Do you watch the Super Bowl?
What are your plans?
Who are you rooting for?
(Personally, I'm cheering for the commercials. Damn football getting in the way of all my fun waiting to see what Budweiser came up with this year...)
Re: Colts V. Saints
I generally don't watch NFL (more of a college fan myself) but I've starting watching a little bit more this season. I'm rooting for the Colts for the sole reason that I hope they win and Peyton Manning gets to host SNL again. I loved his show last time he won.
Oh, and the commercials are fun, too.

DH has to work but he may be able to rearrange his schedule to be off in time for the game. We haven't talked about actual plans with anyone yet because everyone was planning big Viking parties around here. Haha!
I'm not a true football fan, so I choose my team based on how I can obscurely relate them to my own interests.
For instance, I love the Kardashians. LOVE. And since Kim is dating Reggie Bush again, I'm routing for the Saints in the Super Bowl.
Andplusalso, apparently, Eli Manning dissed San Diego a few years ago in the draft so all San Diegans hate him. And since Peyton is his brother, he gets the diss too. Although, my gramps coached their dad in little league waaaaay back when. Still, we're Eli haters in this city. Sorry, Peyton.
ZOMG I do this too!! When I was younger I used to pick based on who had the prettiest colors or how hot the quarterbacks were. I'm evolved so much.

Reggie may have had something to do with my choice to cheer on the Saints. Also I've actually been to NO as well as the Superdome so I feel better cheering on a team I "know".
Also there is I have a really tacky stuck up co-worker from Indiana. Kinda ruins it for me.
Chrissy - I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about Brees being a former Charger.
See, proof that I'm a disappointment to the football community -- I had no idea he used to be a Charger! How long ago? FTR, I've only lived in this state for 8 years.
I don't know exactly how many years ago but he was the QB before Rivers. He was only there a few years (less than 5).
See! I had no idea...
Really late to the party here, but I wanted the Vikings to win sooooo bad last night. Why, you ask? Because I thought if the Vikings won, and then went on to win the Superbowl, that there would be a good chance that Favre would finally retire. Now, there's a chance he will be back next year, only to have an amazing season and throw another effing interception when the game is on the line.
That said, I hope NO murders the Colts. Being from New England our hatred for that team is infinite.
As for what we are doing, we have a party every year religiously. In our old apt we could comfortably have about 20 ppl in our living room watching the game. This year, not so much. We're trying to figure out what our options are.
As a Cubs fan (believe me, this is related), I like to root for the underdog in every situation because I know what it feels like to always lose.
For this reason, I would like the Saints to win. We will probably have a party or at least friends over, as none of our friends ever host parties at their houses.

Yup, always watch the Super Bowl and usually throw a party. But this year (and yes I know this sounds awful) It's my niece's birthday so her parents decided to throw her a birthday party in the afternoon (WTF!!!) So I will go to that early and leave before the game starts.
I'm rooting for the Saints, I think they'll win too.
Ugh, Ditto! I had some...not so nice...words coming out of my mouth last night watching the Vikings play! I was really rooting for them!
How can you not want these people's team to win?
