As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Is it just me...
or do digital cameras have a shorter and shorter life span?
Just after we got back from our honeymoon I bought a new point and shoot. I loved it. It took beautiful pictures. It shot underwater, shock proof so it could be in my purse. I could take pictures using the available light setting and they were still fantastic. Rarely had to use the flash but when I did the pictures were wonderful.
Now when you take a picture using the flash there is this weird black shadow around everything, the pictures are grainy and sightly out of focus, when using available light everything is a little yellow or washed out and the focus is soft. The camera isn't even three years old.
DH bought the cheapest little Canon camera he could find. It's great! I took a picture of DD sleeping and I turned of the flash expecting to use photoshop, it was as bright with the flash OFF as mine with the flash on minus the ugly shadow thing. So now I want a new camera. I have to wait though. I need a new sewing machine and a new tv first.

Unfortunately, I think 3 years might be a lifespan of a camera these days. The good news is the prices are getting lower for better quality (while it lasts!).
The screen on our camera is busted. It actually still works you just have to look through the lens, old school style, to take a picture. We will be camera shopping soon.
