How was your weekend?

Re: How was your weekend?

  • We actually did something! So I can share how exciting!

Sat we left E for the first time with a non family member (we have only left her with my Mom so far).  We  dropped her off with our friends (her gay "grandparents") and went shopping and got a drink and a bite to eat.  She did great although got a little fussy.  They loved having her and want to make a regular time for her  to come and hang out with them.  They also are letting us spend a week at their place in p-town for free in august!  Which is awesome since we couldn't really afford to go this year if they didn't!  We had a blast just being together and I can't wait for another date night.

Sunday we were up in NH for the neices b-day.  We missed her party on Sat because S had a grad school info session to go to.  It was fun and we left E with my sil so we could go to the mall and return some gifts with my mil.  She ended up buying E the cutest outfit from baby gap.  It was fun and I got a pair of jeans for 10 bucks!

A great weekend.  E had a horrible night friday, an ok but not great night sat, and last night she slept from 12:30 to 6 which is not optimal but still better than friday where she didn't sleep for more than 20 min at a time.

  • Sam - I'm so glad you had such a lovely weekend! You definitely deserved it :-)

My weekend was blah - lol!  Friday I met K afterwork for her co-worker's going away party. Then we went bowling in a fundraiser for my work.  We had fun bowling, but the theory that pregnant women bowl better is soooo wrong! :-p

Saturday and Sunday were spent mostly cleaning and doing errands.  K threw her  back on on Saturday so was pretty useless on Sunday.  I spent most of yesterday making a coconut creme cake for K to take to work today.

Maybe someday soon we'll have an exciting weekend ;-)

  • SSG - Yay for date night!  I am sorry E isn't sleeping well - reflux or growth spurt?

Friday - Stayed in. The kids played Wii and watched Monsters, Inc. L wasn't feeling well so she vegged and I watched the telethon and went to bed early.

Saturday - The kids were up way too early. I took them to sports class and then to the gym so I could get a haircut (first one since this summer!) I got Gray's bangs cut and she HACKED them off. He looks like a dork.  I don't know what she was thinking. Tongue Tied After nap we ran errands, had a late lunch/early dinner, and took the kids to the outlet mall to ride the silly little rides with the quarters my ILs put in their piggy banks. Home to watch Agent Oso (their newest obsession.)

Sunday - Up way to early again (why do I have to wake them at 6:30 M-F and on weekends they are up at 5:55???) Went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and then to the outlets to ride more rides, get some track pants on sale at Children's Place ($3.50!) and to walk the mall before it was too crowded. After nap L and Carter went to Target and when they got home Gray and I went to pick up BBQ for dinner. Sunday was such a good day. The kids were well behaved, they ate well, L was feeling pretty good so I had help...so nice. Yes

  • It was very nice!  Friday night we had our usual quiet night at home.

Saturday, C was out for most of the day at a first-time homebuyers class, which is required for our mortgage program, and while she was gone I did a ton of laundry, threw a meal in the crockpot and took a nap.  We ate dinner at home and then went out for dessert, which was yummy.  Then we watched The Business of Being Born, which I had seen, but Cecilia had not.  She really enjoyed it and was amazed by how different birth can be than what we are all used to seeing on tv!

Sunday, I was feeling super tired, so C did the grocery shopping (how lucky am I?), and then we hung around at home until her hair appointment.  While she was there, I did a little shopping - found some great stuff on clearance at the Gap!!  I'm starting to outgrow some of the long sleeve maternity tops I bought, and the Gap just happened to have a ton of long sleeve shirts (not maternity, but nice and long so they easily accommodate the bump!), all marked down for between $5 and $10!!  I walked away with 6 baby-bump friendly tops for $40! I was thrilled!  Then we just hung around at home for the rest of the day.  We had some quality snuggling on the couch time, and C got to see my belly jump from Henry's kicks!

    A lovely, restful weekend!

  • My weekend was pretty good - though it went way too fast.

Friday was our normal evening routine which included A and I in bed by 8:30 Stick out tongue

Saturday we had a leisurely morning before heading out to get Sprout his first with-us haircut.  We went to a rediculously overpriced kids place that had costume characters, tvs, ect.  it was so over the top, but worth it because we made it through with no tears (just barely) and the cut looks nice, though a little short for my taste.  He looks so grown-up now!  After the haircut we met up with a friend for lunch at Moe's then we all headed back home to put Sprout down for a nap.

In the afternoon a bunch of different friends randomly stopped by (everyone just happened to be in the area saturday - it was crazy!) and it was great for Andrea to get to socialize - she even got some of them to play monoploy.  Of course Sprout loved all the playmates as well.  And I loved having the chance to do a bunch of laundry and bake cookies :)

Sunday A woke up with a fever (i think she caught the plague i had last week) so we canceled plans with her family and I took the kids to church then to my parent's house while she rested at home.  We made a quick stop back at the house so the kids could nap, and in the afternoon Sprout and I went to the library and the grocery store, again leaving A to rest.  I was nervous about having the kids (namely Sprout) to myself all day but it went great! I cant get over how much his behavior has improved.

I so want to play! Just last week I was telling K about your fancy electronic version and how I really think we need it :-)

  • Our weekend was fair. We are really struggling with LMC's huge regression and behavior issues so we are pretty exhausted. We ran a few errands, went out to dinner and just tried to stay calm :-)

I did manage to get away for an hour to print PBS's invites and make her birthday tutu. It came out pretty cute, not bad for a first try.

  • sorry lmc is having such a hard time.  I want to go to the party or at least see the invites.

  • we had a good weekend. friday was just getting stuff done around the house, but we had a lot we needed to get done and we made a lot of progress.

saturday we decided not to go to the toy party, but my parents came over and spent the evening with monkey while we went out for dinner and went to the hardware store.

sunday he slept quite late, so we got to sleep in too! then we went to our friends' house for a playdate. we got in some tummy time when we got home, and he rolled himself over. like half a dozen times. and then he did it again yesterday. crazy!
