What's your fav thing about St. Louis?

Since I love your city from afar, what do YOU love most about living there?

Re: What's your fav thing about St. Louis?

  • I hope I am reading this correctly (I am a little tipsy)... I love the people of St. Louis, always friendly, warm and inviting. In my line of work, it requires me to speak to people all over the U.S. Nobody compares to my down to earth people of STL. Big Smile
  • Since nobody else is answering, I will add another favorite of mine... the Arts and Entertainment St. Louis has to offer... The Art Museum, Powell Symphony Hall, Fox Theater, The Muny, Botanical Gardens, The Butterfly House, Jewel Box, Science Center.. never been to the City Museum, but I heard that was really cool.
  • All the FREE things we have...the zoo, art museum, grant's farm, etc
  • Family friendly activities. Give or take an hour around me, there is always *something* to do on the weekends that are family friendly...and family affordable.
  • Oh yeah, I forgot my mom & I went to the botanical gardens last time too. It was awesome!
  • We have lived here for two years and my favorite thing by far is the diverse restaurant choices!  Barristers and The City Coffee house in Clayton are two of my favorites.  I haven't found a really great sandwich place yet, so if anyone has a suggestion I'd love to try it! :)
  • I'm with KBLT on all the great restaurants.

KBLT:  as for sandwich places, try "The U," which is on Olive near Compton (by SLU and Harris Stowe).  It's new.  For more traditional St. Louis favorites, try Adriana's (on the Hill) and Amighetti's.

  • *The restaurants

    *Shopping malls

    *The safe suburbs

    *The weather

  • SAINT LOUIS BLUES!!! Music
  • I have to be cheesy and add... "The Nesties!"

Not that I have been to STL a ton... but I do enjoy Ted Drewes! I'm sure there is more, but I've never been to STL as an adult, only a kid (although I have driven through the area as an adult... I know I know, I need to come down there some time... maybe this winter when the summer busy schedule dies down!)

  • OMG WHERE IS MY HEAD?? HOW COULD I FORGET... THE HILL!!!

IMO - Cunetto's (would be better without the LONG wait) and Zias, are the 2 best Italian resturants ever!!!
