Menus!

Brrr, it's an ugly day today. We were hit by a blizzard yesterday and it's still lingering. DH blew out the driveway 3 times yesterday. This morning, there was another 2 foot drift! lol 27 centimeters of snow and wind gusts of 80km/hr...yuck! I am snowed in today...no work for me!

Here's what we're making this week:

Monday: Almond Crusted Tilapia (inspired by Nat - thanks, I finally found a fish I like) w/ rice and broccoli;

Tuesday: Mmmm, comfort food. Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup;

Wednesday: Pulled beef sandwiches w/ coleslaw;

Thursday: Leftovers;

Friday: Stovetop stuffed bacon wrapped steak w/ brussel sprouts.

This week's dinners cost: $76

    Sunday: Turkey Pot Pie

    Monday: Lasagna

    Tuesday: Steak and crab legs with potato and broccoli

    Wednesday: meatloaf with some sides

    Thursday: leftovers

    Fridays I have decided will be pizza night from now on, but I will be making them... now to decide on toppings!

  • We had pizza Fridays when I was growing up. We used to get into our jammies early, grab our teddy bears and have a picnic in the living room. So fun.

  • Monday: leftover pasta rolls stuffed with ricotta & spinach with bolognese sauce, salad

    Tuesday: terriyaki pork tenderloin, brown rice, broccoli

    Wednesday: turkey meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans

    Thursday: leftovers

    Friday: I'll decide at the market :)

  • Monday - french dip

    Tuesday - fajita's

    Wednesday - baked potato soup

    Thursday - chicken caccitore

    Friday - pizza day

    ?we did too and my parent's still have pizza every Friday, it's quick, easy and endless options for toppings (a good way to clean the fridge some days!)

  • I need to get back into this, made life so much easier. But DH doesn't have his license now (he had been driving on his international license and finally went to get the ON license, and of course it's a 2 month wait for the G road test! but b/c he's now been issued a G1, he can't drive anymore and so all we can do are tiny trips of the amount that we can carry) so we haven't had a good grocery store shop and have done tons of eating out! I'm thinking of getting groceries delivered though.
