Anyone from New Albany area?
My husband and I just bought a house in New Albany. We lived in Louisville for 6 months (very familiar with the area b/c we are from Kentucky and Indiana). I was wondering if anybody was from there though b/c a lot of our friends have grown up and moved on. I can't find many networks from there b/c Louisville is so big next to it.
Is there anything I should know about the area? Thanks!

We live close to New Albany, in nearby Sellersburg/Charlestown area. And I work in New Albany. We love it here. We also moved here from Louisville but I'm from IN (a little bit further north) so it felt like coming home to me!
I have found it somewhat difficult to "network" here as well; it's been kinda hard to meet people, make friends, etc. I'm looking for clubs, organizations to get involved with, hoping that will help. Working on this side of the river has definitely helped a lot, as many of my co-workers live around here.
As far as shopping and dining goes, there are a lot of great options in Southern IN. We don't even go over to Louisville very often because a lot of what you find there you can find over here too.
