Movie review(s)

We watched Star Trek, Funny People, and Post Grad.

Star Trek - I obviously loved. I geeked when Leonard Nemoy was in the movie. I was confused by Nero, but only for the first while, and only because I didn't remember him from the series.

Funny People - Actually kind of blah. I wasn't all that impressed. I was totally annoyed by the "movies" Adam Sandler was in. Seth Rogan was the best part about that film, and it was mainly because I enjoy looking at him. The whole thing seemed pushed.

Post Grad - was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. Michael Keaton played Alexis Bledel's father, and he was like the absent minded professor, and it was fantastic. Carol Burnett has to have had work done, she looked great, and Jane Lynch played her mother/Michael Keaton's wife.

Re: Movie review(s)

  • I LOVED Star Trek.  Did you get a little misty-eyed when he said "I am and always will be your friend" to young Kirk?

  • Yes! Also - I was all Surprise over Ohora. That explained why Kirk never made a play for her in the show though. Not that the two are necessarily in sinc, but I always wondered.

Actually, the first TV interracial kiss was Kirk and Uhura.

In the original series of movies, their relationship was always alluded to, but never really explored. Of course, Nero changed history with his time-travelling, so Uhura's now with Spock instead.

I'm so ashamed I know this much about Star Trek.
