So, after Hunter's baptism, apparently my (step)dad had a racing heart on Sunday morning. He went to the ER and they gave him beta blockers to bring it back down and it worked. However, now they are changing his surgery...they are going to first put an ultrasound down his throat to check for clots around the heart. If there's no clots, then they will try to shock it back into a normal rhythm. So T&Ps that there's no clots and that he's shockable tomorrow - and that it works. If that works then he'll go from there and see if he still needs the ablation.
My dad is handling it well (at least on the phone he sounds okay). My mom is a hot mess and had to take another day off work. Luckily she's been there forever so she gets a ton of days off but I know she's going to need to save some for her back. Its so cute, both of them are so worried about the other and not themselves.
Re: F/u to My Dad needs heart surgery
Heart stuff is scary, but the technology we have these days is AMAZING!
Sounds like the docs think its not as serious as some other heart conditions, so thats good if it just needs a little jump start to "reboot"

Ditto! And it is cute that they're concerned about the other... I'm sure I'd be a HOT MESS, too, if it were my DH...
T&P to you and your family!
T&Ps going their way!!!
