Olympics

I'm off to watch the opening ceremonies!! Go USA!!

Re: Olympics

  • Awwww... when Michael Phelps just got his first gold medal of the Bejing games. When his mom started tearing up on the tv, I had to let a few tears out. Was such a touching moment.
  • I LOVE the Olympics!!!  DH and I really enjoy watching all of the events.

  • No DVR for us... we used to , but dropped it when we moved. I would like it back, but that's just more encouragement to loaf around on the sofa. Haha.

Another gold in swimming tonight! Whoo hoo! And gymastics is awesome, I was watching it some yesterday.

  • We went through Directv since their dvr service is only like $7 a month instead of $30 that Comcast was going to charge us!  So this makes it a little better....and I love it!

I do hate how late it's on though...I could really use it to start at like 6 instead of 7 or 8!

  • DH has been staying up later this week because of the Olympics.  He definitely wishes that Michael Phelps swam earlier, but we're enjoying watching the events.

It's on CNBC, MSNBC, USA, and Oxygen earlier in the day, but it's random events like boxing, rifle-shooting, and some crazy equestrian racing course.

  • $12 for DVR for the month. We've lived without it... DH says it's the one way we can remain cheap. (Cause everything else sure isn't!!)
  • Yeah, we only went with it because it was so inexpensive compared to other options.  We really wanted a TIVO for our wedding but after looking into it we decided a dvr was the best choice (and cheaper!).  So we went with it!
