WWYD? Jury Duty

So, I got a jury summons a couple of weeks ago.  I forwarded it to my boss and put the time off on the calendar.

Friday the court called and told me I was excused.

Do you still "go" to jury duty and enjoy this beautful day?  Or, do you stay at work like a good little girl?

I am slightly tempted to enjoy the sunshine...

Our office requires proof that you were at Jury Duty - the court gives you a signed form and we have to submit a copy.  I'd probably check and see what your company's policies are before taking the day off.

Ugh.  Buzz kill. 

 Ok, I'll stay.  But only because I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself.  I'd be too paranoid.

I would go to work. Or be honest and tell your boss that you were excused but you'll be taking a vacation day.  I took many a MH (mental health) day when the weather got beautiful. 

ETA: Unless you had to use your own vacation time to go to jury duty. If that's the case then a) take the day and b) that sucks that your company doesn't cover jury duty and makes you take your own time.

I'd go to work only bc I'd be paranoid about running into my boss while I was out and about.  In my head I would totally not go, though.  : P

Can you get called up again since you didn't really go?

I don't think I can get called again.  The message last friday said that I was "excused".  I'd never get picked, though, because I'm an attorney.

I stayed.  But, I just made a starbucks run to get a little sun.
