My own baking disaster and win this weekend
I made my Game Day Apple Cake as a thank you for our neighbors - every Monday and Thursday morning, they bring our garbage cans back up to the house for us. It is tres sweet and H really appreciates it (as garbage is not a Mrs. Leg chore). The cake was a total WIN! Popped out of the bundt pan beautifully (sometimes, it does not b/c of the apples). I let it cool, drizzled it with a light vanilla glaze and took it next door. Neighbors called later to rave about it.
Since I was on a baking high, I whipped up a gingerbread mix from a box. Total FAIL. The top was crunchy, the sides were rubbery and the middle was like eating a car wax sponge. Ick blech and gross. I spit out the bite and tossed the rest in the trash. Tongue scraping was involved shortly thereafter. That ish was nasty. Made the house smell deeeelish though.

You have two garbage days per week? JealousE. Ours is always crammed full a couple days before the garbage truck comes.
