I have a job interview on Monday!!!!!
I have to tell you the whole story:
I followed up on the application I put in earlier this week for a private place, and the recruiter said that the position was closed. I was really bummed because that job would have been perfect for me. So I had a little pity party for myself, and I kept thinking, "this is just too hard, I can't do it anymore." I never realized how much job hunting is emotionally exhausting. It's such a roller coaster - you find a lead and get your hopes up, as much as you try not to, then when it doesn't work out you are disappointed. Then I decided to get over it and keep looking.
Meanwhile, I had dropped off a resume weeks ago at a school my childhood friend is working at, but it's a really hard school to get into, so I didn't give it any more thought. Then not twenty minutes after I finished my pity party, the assistant principal at the school calls me to set up an interview!! So we set one up for Monday and soon after that she calls me back to give me instructions for submitting an application online. She tells me, "We want to offer you a first grade position, but we can't officially do that until we submit the proper paperwork."

After we hung up, I just sat in awe for several minutes. Then I called my friend who works at the school and we screamed together on the phone. I am so excited!! It's funny how things work out.
