Austin refused to nap today and I was totally tired from getting up with him last night, so I scooped him up after he wouldn't take his afternoon nap and went for a drive to see my parents - he stayed awake the WHOLE TIME - car ride and everything, even on the 20 minute ride back (well, he snoozed for like 10 minutes but that was it)...unreal.
So on my drive back home from my folks, I saw this woman running down the street in Hollis on 122 headed towards Country Kitchen intersection, she has a very small dog on a leash and was on her cell phone - suddenly up ahead I saw a springer spaniel sprinting (check out that alliteration!) with a red leash...it was obvious she was running after him....so I quickly pulled into a driveway ahead of him, threw my car in park and jumped out and nabbed him in the nick of time...he was headed right for the intersection!
So I got home, tried to put Austin down for a nap, wasn't happening....how a baby that little can stay awake for so long is beyond me...I'll probably pay for it tonight....anyways, so I got him down for bed by 5:30pm...helped Tom clean a bit, went grocery shopping, and just got finished doing some salad prep (fruit and regular), appt. prep and baking for all my ILs coming tomorrow...
What a day!!
Re: aaaannnd I'm DONE!
jesus lisa!
thats exhausting! keeping my fingers xed austin stays asleep for all the night if not that then almost the whole night and then goes right back to bed asap.
You are my new favorite superhero for rescuing that dog! SuperLisa!!!!
BTW - you're learning.....taking the kids out and wearing them out is exactly what I do when one of them is having a rough day with napping. You nap when you are given the opportunity, buster, or else! LOL!
I hope that you guys had a good night!
