Rylie says "DaDa"!

Of course it's more like "DA DA DA DA DA DA" to everything.  Brian said it doesn't count because she isn't really saying it to him.  But I say it does.  What do you think?  Big Smile

Hopefully I'll hear "MA MA" soon!

Re: Rylie says "DaDa"!

  • I can't wait for the day that she says, "DAMN IT BRIAN!" ;)
  • I'd say it counts!  She's starting to realize she can make sounds!

Aidan says "da" now for Dad and for "that" (as in "what's that?"

Oh I'm sure it's coming!  Kids will say the darndest things.  Wink

  • So precious!! It probably doesn't count yet but you can pretend it does! :)
  • Awww!!   How cute!

I told my husband last night that I'm afraid our little one's first word will be "a**hole" because he says it quite a bit when we're in the car together.  He gets frustrated with all of the stupid drivers out there!!

I tend to talk like a sailor myself.  I've been trying to watch it around her, though.  I can only imagine the things that would end up coming out of her mouth!

  • DA DA was Brendon's first "word" as well. I tried my hardest to deny that he knew what he was saying (and at first i don't think he did), but now he says it calling for Daddy and it's obvious he knows what he's saying! HOWEVER, no matter how hard I try that little PIA will NOT say MA MA to save his life!! It drives me nuts! NUTS!!! I'm coming to come to grips with the fact that he may never say MA MA. As a matter of fact now when I say " say mama" hoping he'll copy me he says Da DA just to spite me! He will copy cough noises and sneeze noises...I even burped the other day and made a burping sound....but won't say the M word to save his flippen life!!
  • E - you aren't a *little* angry about Brendon's choice of words, are you?  Wink

My silver lining...earlier today I walked by the little princess as she was jumping away in her jumparoo and smelled a poopy diaper.  So I said, "Daddy, someone needs her diaper changed" and he said "yeah mom, go ahead and change it".  So then Rylie said "DADA".  Haha!  That solved that argument.  Big Smile

  • LOL That was great!!

  • Aww...so so SWEET!!
  • I love it! It's a good thing kids don't call their parents by their first names - JD would always win that one! Our oldest niece has just gotten the hang of saying Elisabeth clearly!

Oh, and apparently my first word was dog. And I called my parents that too.
