  • Welcome to the Quiet Corner!  DH grew up in Woodstock and we rented a condo there for about 1.5 years before we bought our house in Brooklyn (about 20 minutes away).  I go to The Strand Salon.  It's right on the Woodstock- Putnam line in that little strip mall next to the piano store on Rt 169 (or whatever it is at that point).  The prices are very good and the ladies there do an amazing job.  I had them do my hair, my MOH, my BMs, my mom's, and my grandma's hair for my wedding.  Can you tell I love this place?  Smile

  • Is Enfield within 30 minutes? The Peter Ashley Salon is good, specificly Chris (she's a girl). The salon is on 190 in Enfield.
  • I recommend any AVEDA salon.  I used to frequent Fulgere Salon and Spa in Worcester, MA (an AVEDA salon) when I was living up in MA.  It's been a long time since I've been there (about 4/5 years now), but I always loved my hair when I left there.  If you can find any AVEDA salon that's closer than the Worcester one (I think from Woodstock it's about 40 minutes, unfortunately!) - I think you'll be pleased!  Words of wisdom though - AVEDA tends to be a little pricey, but I definitely think it's worth it.
