I watched Tough Love last night

did steve really tell tina that she could possibly change qunicy's mind about marriage? isn't that like one of the top ten rules of dating, that you shouldn't go in thinking that someone will change? i was very disappointed in steve at that moment. i was also disappointed that he set her up with someone who just wanted a fling.

i was also unimpressed with taylor's Tough Love tattoo. VH1 didn't even have to pay her to get that crap, huh!

i did not think that dave's divorce was a big deal, but whatever.

was angel the only one steve provided condoms to? lame. also lame? the fact that this dude kept talking to her about moving to california, but didn't express any feelings towards her. was he thinking that she'd move to CA and then she'd just want to be buddies with her? or was he thinking he'd geta quick thrill from a stripper and then he'd be outta there?

lastly, i want to move to southern california. i was thinking that if they filmed this show in the northeast, where would they have sent these chicks on their overnight dates? queens to catch a mets game? atlantic city? the Jersey Shore!?

Re: I watched Tough Love last night

  • i don't think dave's divorce was a big deal, either.  i would have been surprised, but gotten over it.  i did love that liz asked, "ARE YOU STILL MARRIED?"  that's a good question, lady.

unsurprisingly, taylor's tattoo was about herself, not willie.

i think steve wanted tina to at least understand that quincy doesn't think marriage is a bfd because his parents weren't married.  HOWEVER, his whole "i won't ever fall in love because i don't want to be hurt" is a huge red flag.  why would steve even introduce someone like that to tina?  that's not right.

maybe steve gave angel a condom to protect adam from angel's stds.  and to protect angel from adam's boring.

i forgot to complain about jenna and ther swooning over "gender is a social construct."  shut up, you.  if dh said that, i would probably smack his face, and he writes for a living.

  • jenna is a moron. i wish they could offer a vote-off, because she would be the second off the island. i'd send taylor off first, naturally.

  • I was all surprised at how Jenna's crush looked.  But I do understand her being happy that her crush liked her when she was *whispers* fat.

  • ps - the "gender is a social construct" wasn't so much funny to her as it was her kind of humor/conversational style IMO.

her "he uses big words and know what they mean" makes me think she has some ego on her, no matter how hard she wants to make people think she's actually this timid self-conscious former fatty. i think she's full of herself and thinks she's too good for most people, and then thinks that her new body is going to attract the wrong type of guy or something.
