Need a good marriage counselor!

Can anyone recommend a marriage counselor in Fort Worth? Or even Dallas? I've posted part of my issue:

Re: Need a good marriage counselor!

  • Dana Hamman...

She's a life coach, and one of the directors of the http://www.marriagebootcamp.com

I read on your ML post, and hope you'll consider emailing her (dana@danahamman.com) or someone so that you can find the healing that you and your family seek.

    Best of luck to you...

  • Heather,

First I wanted to say how sorry I am that you are having to go through this. I've had my share of parental issues and admitting that your parent is just crazy is a very very hard thing to do. Thankfully, I had this well under control when my DH and I got married so he didn't have to deal with it much. Plus I think its different when a husband is having to deal with his wife's crazy father vs your situation. I'm sure you feel like your DH isn't protecting you and IMHO that is one of the husband's most precious jobs: protecting his wife and children...whether they are step children or not.

Anyway, I do know an absolutely amazing therapist...he helped me through my issues with my dad and I've come out on the other side a better person for the things he put us all through. He's a very strong Christian and gives advice accordingly so if that isn't something you are comfortable with, he's probably not the guy for you. He's with RAPHA (www.rapha.info) and his name is Stephen Armstrong. You can look at his profile on their website under counselors.

Again, I'm so sorry and I really hope things work out for you and your DH.
