Hello SC ladies! (visiting area)

Hello!  I will be visiting SC in a week-Fort Mill/Pleasant Valley area? I didn't know if there was anything special I should go see when we're out there visiting with a friend.  I'm not familiar with the area at all and flying in to Charlotte, NC to get there...

Any info would be great! (and how's the weather been? I'm from Phila area)

Thanks!

Lorelai

Re: Hello SC ladies! (visiting area)

  • Hello!  I'm northern girl who was recently relocated here to SC so I can tell you first-hand that the weather is MUCH better than what you're currently experiencing.  It's been cooler than normal lately (but I think that's all over the country); however you can expect to have warmer weather in the 50's and 60's.  It's mostly been sunny and you may be surprised and get a 70 degree day.  Just like up there, the weather is always changing!  I've been wearing flip-flops lately, so that's a good sign!  I would say you would be fine without a jacket, but you may want to bring one (something you'd wear in the Fall/Spring up there) to wear at night.

I can't speak to the area you're going to because I've never been.  This board is a little slow so you may or may not get good information.  You may want to try the Travel Board as well and also just do some research online.

Charlotte is a good airport to come into...it's rather large but we have always found it to be organized and easy to maneuver through.  Good luck!

  • Thanks!  Of course, the weekend I'm here... it's going to be in the 40's, but that's okay...
