My Vent
The past 24 hours have been insane, and I just want to hide under a rock until it's all over...
Yesterday morning, one of our massive cedar trees fell onto our cable, power, and phone lines. Luckily, neither H nor I were home, or else our cars would have been totalled. Also luckily, there was no damage to our house. However, since this outage only affected our house and because the wires weren't "live," we were put to the bottom of the priority list. It's been over 24 hours, and we still don't have power. All the food in the fridge and freezer is spoiled by now (I had done a massive shopping over the weekend).
Since we have a well requiring electricity, we have no running water... not able to shower, flush toilets, etc. Also, no heat during winter is not very fun.
I had to shower at my parent's this morning who are in the middle of moving and getting the interior painted. What a mess.
I'm ready for this to be over... Oh - and we have to pay ~$150 to get the tree removed. Vent over.

Ahh that stinks!!! If the food is still ok you should throw it in a cooler with ice so you don't have to throw it all away.
We had the issue with our plumbing a few weeks back and couldn't use water or our heater for 3 days...It was HORRIBLE, so I feel your pain....Hopefully they get something done soon...Good Luck!!
