I just wanted to say ... your babies Hank and Hagen are beautiful! Boy and  girl? Two boys?

I bet they are a handful! I have to ask ... how much do they weigh?!

Re: **BOB2412**

  • Thank you!!!  I'm so glad that I finally figured out to post pics in my siggy to show them off :)  The big one is a boy, Hank.  He weights 145 lbs and is almost 4!  The female is super old for a Great Dane name Hagen (short for Copenhagen), 9, so she has 'shrunk' down to about 105 lbs.

Your greyhounds are gorgeous too!  How old are they?

  • 145 pounds, WHOAH! I feel like my boy is huge and he's usually between 95-100 pounds. The girl is much smaller, although she has many a fat days, she's usually about 65ish pounds. My parents have a dog that we watch when they travel - he's a husky/lab mix that somehow ended up about 115 pounds. He's a baby, he's 3 and keeps my greyhounds on their toes, that's for sure!

Congratulations on your girl reaching her 9th birthday! I know that's a big milestone for a dog so big. She looks fabulous in her picture!

Both mine will be 7 this summer ... we adopted them when they were 2 and it's amazing how fast time flys!

  • I really can't believe how well she is doing for her age...I think it's because she was the runt of the litter :)  She still plays with the best of em at the dog parks, but she pays for it over the next couple of days.

That is so neat that you got your two at the same time!  The age difference with ours poses some challenges.  Hank just fell in our laps, a last second adoption situation, so we weren't prepared to have a puppy around again so soon!  He was 1.5 years old when we got him, but still very much a puppy and completely not trained.  Quite the challenge...130 lbs. of raw energy!  I really do think he has helped Hagen feel younger again though which is a great thing.

Ever go to dog parks around town?
