I don't want to spend more than $100. We generally don't order alcholic drinks or desserts. We do like appetizers, though. I'm looking for a nice place to have dinner the first night we are there, since it's our anniversary.

I love Giordano's stuffed or Lou Malnati's buttercrust for deep dish. Those are my fav's! I assume you'll be in the city correct?

Mexican: Zapatista. but for more Pan-Latin cuisine, I like Nacional 27.
Italian: Coco Pazzo and Gioco
Seafood: Catch 35, Spring
Steak: N9NE and David Burke Primehouse
Pizza: Lou Malnati's

Mexican: Topolobampo (Rick Bayless' Mexican restaurant downtown...he also has a slightly less-uppity restaurant right by this one called Frontera Grill..very authentic and tasty Mexican food.)
Italian (not pizza): Gioco (in the South Loop...hip, but stays true to classic Italian flavors)
Seafood: I know it's a chain, but I love Roy's..it's an Asian-Hawaiian fusion place, and they have wonderful fish
Steak: Chicago Firehouse
Pizza: Giordano's
