So it wasn't THAT bad....
I'm 3cm & 100% - her head, Dr. says is at the very bottom, sitting low. I also got S&S again today and owwiieeeee...this time! He set my induction date for next Wednesday at 8:00am, but he did say [again] "I don't think you'll make it that far."
We'll see!!!!

Re: I'm still around...lol
Very exciting Lisa!
Do you have an excercise ball at home? I sat/bounced on one of those the night before my LO arrived. No clue if it did anything (I was 11 days overdue at that point, lol), but if you have one it may be worth a try!
I rocked on a yoga ball for 4 weeks!
So since it is set for 8AM that means he will be skipping the gel and going straight for the drugs right?
Not from what he told me....his exact words were for me to call in 1hr before to make sure things are still a 'go' & that there's room etc. then they'll insert the gel..afterwards they'll break my water (I don't know how long after though). He didn't mention anything about using drips/drugs etc. I'd rather avoid the pitocin if I can. I think he's confident that I'll be more than 3cm....maybe 4/5, which at that point it's ok to break waters, no?
Sammy - My last appointment 2 weeks ago I was 2cm & 60% so this is some progress!! lol
I think breaking the water has less to do with cervical progression and more to do with contractions (so if you are experiencing any). But it may vary by doctor and what they decide to do.
I was just surprised they would have you go in in the AM for the gel, as I thought I read that most of the people who get the gel get it in the PM and then are sent home for the night to see how they progress. But again maybe it varies doctor to doctor.
Super exciting! Hoping this progress well over the next few days!
HAHA...I'll do my best.
I always forget with excitement after the appointments to not tell DH everything...DH wasn't too thrilled that her head was "right there" and that the Dr. is able to touch my cervix AND that it's opening - so he's a little wigged out!!!!
[Yes, I tried to explain to him that it was always like that and he will NOT hit the baby's head....lol Men!]
I was supposed to get the gel in the pm, but the hospital was busy and they were afraid I'd go into labor and they'd have to turn me away. I was given the gel the next morning. I think it depends on how much progress you've made on your own.
Just want to wish you luck! I hope your doctor is right and you go into labour before next Wednesday.
Thanks Sarah...I'm drinking the tea as I type - I've been cleaning today, so it's a lot of moving around, bending and walking back & forth...It's one of those "this doesn't belong here" cleans and getting everything into the right place. I've also made plans with a girlfriend to hit the mall tomorrow and walk a LOT + maybe some shopping!
