Hi girls! I was over on the knot boards for a while and have decided to check it out over here! My name is Jenn and I was married on Dec. 4th
Husb and I are looking to buy a house in Sicklerville...Winslow Twp....Wilton's Corner. The houses are beautiful, but hear lots of mixed reviews about the schools. My step-daughter lives with us and would be going to school where we live, so we are trying to get a feel for public vs. private. Any insights would be great.
Thanks!!
Re: Hi!
Welcome, Jenn! Congrats on your marriage
I'm not really familiar with that area, but I know there are a few girls on here that live in that area.
Hi!!!
I'm familiar with Winslow and as of what I've heard the schools aren't the best. I'm not sure about the other areas though....check out turnersville too...they go to Washington Twp school district
Welcome and congrats!
I've also heard that Winslow schools are not great. I think Washington Twp is OK, but sounds like you'd be in Winslow.
I live in Sicklerville.
The schools are OK. It's like any other school it all depends on what crowd your daughter clicks with.
I grew up in Sicklerville and got a really good education, but then I knew people at the same school who just didn't care enough to get one.
Welcome!
Winslow schools are tough. Lily's right about the overall picture, but the schools themselves are having trouble with funding, etc. and I've heard from teachers that the administration is hard to work for. I'd personally check out some other areas near there since you have a child at school-age already. That said, the houses in Wilton's Corner are gorgeous.
