Hi Ladies-possibly moving to Phoenix
Hello,
We are currently in the Chicagoland area and thinking about moving to Phoenix and settling in. However it is essential my husband is close to work, since I will be at home. He will be at Golden State Foods which is at 5516 W Buchanan St. From a map, I'm told that is West Phoenix? Is this an area to avoid?
I can also tell avondale and glendale are close as well.
Can anyone recommend a good montessori? Our daughter is only 7 weeks so we have some time, but just asking.
Also is there a good online guide for phoenix?

Welcome to the area (Well, maybe... haha).
We are fairly new to the area as well (july) and live in the West Valley but further up then where you are looking. We are in Surprise and love it up here. I hear the Montessori up this way is decent though I have not looked into it much.
From what I gather so far, every town/city has it's good parts and bad parts. I know a few ladies on the board live in the Glendale area and from what I've noticed, it seems like a nice area. The West Valley is very up and coming from what I've been told as well. Hopefully, some of the other girls will chime in soon!

There's a relatively new residential area about 5 miles south of where that address is (that's where I live!) AND I LOVE IT!
LaVeen is, for me anyway, perfect! There are still lots of new build developments out here, but also it's been around enough that there are also "previously owned" homes as well
I've lived here my entire life, and love it, couldn't imagine anything better!
