Real Estate Agent in Buffalo?

Can anyone recommend a good agent to work with in the city? Looking to buy and was hoping for some good experiences!

When I lived in Buffalo Pat Horohoe of WNY Metro Horohoe-Leimbach helped me buy (and then later sell) my first home.  She is fantastic!  She is also a teacher so she is only available evenings and weekends (which was fine for me as I taught too) but the other agents in the firm are great too if you are looking for someone with greater availability.  Good luck!

I don't know who I'd recommend but I will tell you not to use Mark Digiampaolo through MJ Peterson.  He was terrible and it seemed like he worked more for the seller than he did for us.  I'm not sure about others with MJ Peterson but definitely don't use him.

He actually does a lot of his work in the city, I would say more than 1/2 of his business is city based. He lives in Williamsville, so he works out of that office.

We have used Rosa McCabe http://www.rosamccabe.huntera.com/as.asp?aid=1234842284 both for buying our house 5 years ago and then last year for selling FIL's house and LOVE her. She knows her stuff and has been in the business a long time! Although her offices in in East Aurora she deals with properties anywhere in Buffalo and the surrounding towns/area

I can give you two names to stay away from

Matt Quagliano  and Bob Meredith

Matt's name is everywhere in North Buffalo but when we bought our house he was never in contact with our realtor, we wanted to see his properties and had to wait days, then he lost our deposit check. 

Bob Meredith was our Realtor and now I realize that I did all of the work. Once we had an accepted offer, we didn't hear from him again and even when we called and left msg. he didn't call back. He didn't even have the decency to call and say congrats to us when we closed. Then at Christmas he sent us a poinsettia that had sat in a smokey car and a bunch of business cards. Sorry, I am not going to recruit business for you!

Oooh. Rosa was the sellers agent when we bought this house.. we had someone else from her office as our agent (Because we didn't have one when we found this place).. who was clueless.. so I think she definitely got the sellers a good deal
