Hey ladies! My fiance and I are moving to huntsville in June after we get married. We are looking to rent a house and we're not sure how to go about finding one. I'm looking online in the classifieds, but I don't think it's an exhuastive list. There are very few listed. Should I go through a realtor? I've never looked at houses before, so I'm pretty lost. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Huntsville Help
Hi! I'm a Huntsville nestie that mostly lurks but wanted to comment on this... I would suggest looking at Craigslist as well. Also, keep in mind that since you're not moving here until June, most of the houses that you find on line right now are probably going to be rented out by June.
However, unless you're able to actually come to Huntsville to look closer to that time, I'd probably suggest a realtor. I checked with mine and he said there are rentals listed on their websites too. If you need a realtor suggestion, PM me. Ours has been really great and understanding through our homebuying process. Good luck!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! I am a makeup artist in Birmingham, but I do travel the southeast. My facebook page is MakeMeUp. I would search "Rentals" on ValleyMLS.com
I had a hard time finding a townhouse/condo to rent. I wanted to upgrade from an apartment but didn't want to live in a house. I ended up going with an apartment community that also has townhouses. They're nice!
I was wanting to find a townhouse to rent from the owner but didn't have much luck scamming the paper and craigslist. I have a feeling those things happen more often by word of mouth and actually driving around and spotting a "for rent" sign!
