just got my first company-wide email of "we have a baby, so we are getting rid of this dog."

Re: awesome.

  • I'm in a fairly good mood so I'm going to believe there are extenuating circumstances...allergies, the dog was abused and freaked at the kid...
  • sorry, the email says "we are getting rid of the dog due to changes in our schedule due to the new baby" and goes on to describe how sweet and well-behaved the dog is.

  • I'm sticking with my original response.

  • Ditto O than.  Bastards.

I was thinking of Busy's situation and the allergies.

  • I just hope they find a good home for the dog.

  • So they got a dog as a temporary baby that is no longer needed.  That is sad.  And cruel.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
  • Well they suck. No

  • reply to all and ask if they plan to give the baby up at some point in the future when it becomes inconvenient because you know someone who might be interested.
  • i would be way more interested in their used dog than their used baby.
    image
  • me too, but you could get more money for a baby ;-)
  • bastards. On the other hand, that's how I got su so I'm a little thankful for the idiots of the world. (a little) H says all the time "How could someone get rid of her?!?! She's the best dog ever." sniff.

  • ditto barbie. tell them:

Well, you already know the dog behaves well, but we're never going to know if the kid is a good or bad seed. Give up the kid and keep the dog. I hear infant children can get you mucho dinero on the black market! I know a few people who may be interested.

  • People suck (present company excluded).  My neighborhood has an awesome message board with a lot of animal lovers/rescuers.  A couple of months ago one of the regulars posted about how upset she was at some "friends" of hers had just had their 2 healthy dogs (that had been part of their family for more than 10 years) put down because they had a 6 month old baby and the dogs had become "too much".  She was even more upset about the fact that many of her other friends didn't understand and even gave her flak over why she didn't want to be friends with those people any more.
