I had to share our conversation we had this morning. That man is seriously cracking me up.
It actually started yesterday when I told him it was only 6 weeks till my due date. And he said, "you need to pack a bag tomorrow." I laughed and dismissed it.
This morning he rolls over and asks me how that bag packing is going. I'm like, are you serious? I was thinking of packing around week 37. He FREAKED out. He's like, no, no, no! We need to pack the bag now and put it in your car! And from now on when your gas gets to 1/4 of a tank, go fill up! (I'm famous for running on fumes.)
So I tell him that we are not packing a full bag right now. Instead I will start a bag, leave it on our bedroom floor and when I'm sure I'm in labor, throw some last minute things in there. But I'm not putting a bag in my car right now. His response? "I respectfully disagree with that."
::eyeroll:: Gotta love him.
Re: My husband cracks me up
This is exactly what I said. He told me we would just buy 2 of everything I'd need. Right. So we're going to buy 2 blow dryers? 2 robes? 2 pairs of slippers?
He also plans on installing the car seat in my car the minute I get back from my shower on Sunday.
The man has lost it.
I'm what 3 weeks behind you? David has been on me for about two weeks to pack my bag.
I am planning on doing most of my laboring at home, I don't see any rush getting everything together now.
Haha! They should form a club.
I told him today that when I knew it was time I would throw some things in a bag. He seriously lost his mind. He cannot fathom waiting and thinks at the first sign of a contraction we are racing to the hospital.
I am not a fan of hospitals at all, and knowing the first stages of labor can take HOURS, I do not feel like being stuck in a bed being monitored. I will stay at home for as long as possible. David is cool with that part now (after 6 bradley classes lol). Something about the damn bag though, he just needs it packed for assurance I guess. We don't have to really worry about gas in the car. The hospital is 1.5 minutes away. It is literally 6 blocks from my house.
