"Im totally new here, but nosey :) Why are you having a glucose test done @  6 weeks???

I actually just was dx'd w/insulin resistance myself, YUCK....so I'm on the diabetes diet :( "

Since I had GD with the first pregnancy, they said they do the 1hr screen early on future pregnancies.  They gave me 3 weeks to have it done, but I did it sooner b/c I'm going back to work (school starting) and I don't want to take any more sick days than I have to.  I know I'll be going on bedrest again and need all the days I can save.

Re: Lane&CartersMommy

  • Oh! Well I hope you don't have it :( I had a 5 hour glucose test done. Talk about torture :( YUCK.

What grade do you teach? I teach 6th grade science. I used to teach 1st grade. This is my second year in middle school :)

  • 5 hours???????!!!!!!!!  I didn't even know that test existed!

I teach high school math.  Mostly Geometry and Algebra II.

    Middle school scares me!
