5k at the Domain?

I think this has been asked before, but has anyone run a 5k at the Domain?  I'm looking into doing the Get Your Rear in Gear 5k at the end of March... either the DFW one in Ft. Worth or the Austin one the next weekend at the Domain.  It's been a while since I've been to the Domain... where do you run?  Are there trails?  Or do you just run laps around the shops?  I can't picture this, but then I've never run a 5k before.

Thanks :)

Re: 5k at the Domain?

  • No idea about the run, but I thought you were asking what to spend $5,000 on at the Domain.  I thought "Gee, that would be pretty easy to spend that amount of money there given the prices."

Good for you for signing up for a run!

  • I haven't actually run the race, but I've volunteered there at the domain.  And yes, you basically run through the shops, all the way down to braker lane following the roads, and come back up in a big loop on the main street that runs parallel to the shops and end back looping back to the shops.
  • The Race for the Cure was at the Domain in Nov. It was on Domain property, but essentially north of the Domain. The set up was on the Burnet Rd. side on Domain land, and the race itself started at Burnet and Kramer, looped up through residential streets and back down to Burnet.

  • I think that area's pretty flat too, so you wouldn't have a hilly terrain to worry about.
