  • Great Poll! Smile But I totally cannot name only one for each.

Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean, Pride & Prejudice (w/ Kira Knightly) and The Notebook.

TV show: On Air: Dexter, The Office & Vampire Diaries (my guilty pleasure). Off Air: Gilmore Girls & SATC Reality Shows: The Bachelor, Project Runway and Top Chef.

Book: Me Talk Pretty One Day - David Sedaris, Secret Life of Bees, all Harry Potters and the Shopaholic series

Food: Thai food - I love all Thai food especially paanag curry.

  • Movie: If forced to choose one, I choose Rushmore.  Paper Heart gave it a run for it's money, but Rushmore wins every time.

TV show: Again, if forced to choose, I will say The Office.  It's hard to pick an overall winner, though, when there are so many categories.

Book: I read A Year In Provence every year.  But I also love Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life.

Food: Rice.  In all of its forms.

Book: Me Talk Pretty One Day - David Sedaris

Have you read Naked?  I really think that is his best book.  Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim was awful.  When You Are Engulfed in Flames was actually pretty good!

Such a simple book but with an awesome message. I hope your mom enjoys it too.

PS I love The Goonies, that is also one of my favorite movies.

  • OMG!  I just checked my iTunes and the new Guest DJ Project from KCRW is Amy Krouse Rosenthal, the author of Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life!  How funny is that!  I like that book because I think I am so much like her, and she even mentions things like this that happen in her life.  Synchronicity.

I did read Naked but I didn't like it very much Tongue Tied. I felt like he just turned his life into a fictional story and because I've read all of his other books I knew that he threw in real stories from his life into the book, so the book was just kind of so-so for me. But I totally agree with you on DYFIC&D - I didn't like that one at all. I think I only laughed at one story. I am about 1/2 way through When You Are Engulfed in Flames, I have to pick it up again...
