I miss Indy!!!!

Right now I'm traveling for work, and I wanted to say that I miss Indianapolis so bad it hurts! I miss everything about it. I miss my friends, my coworkers, DH, my house, my car, the grocery store, the pharmacy... everything.

I guess you never know how good you've got it until you try something else for awhile, right?

I'm in Chicago, and I love Chicago, don't get me wrong. It's just snowing every day, and almost nothing is familiar. I have a few friends in the area that I've visited, and I'm going to bring home some Chicago deep dish style pizza, but I miss my own kitchen more than any kind of food can compensate for.

So, I just wanted to give a little shout out to all my Hoosier nesties. There are a million wonderful places to be in the world, but none of them compare to Indy.

Re: I miss Indy!!!!

  • :( I'm sorry you miss home. How soon will you get to come back?
Move along, nothing to see here.....
  • and Indy misses you...

Everytime we talk about moving I having hard time even thinking about it. Indy is a great balance between city life and suburban life and you can't beat Hoosier hospitality.

    ((hugs))

  • I'm back. I was only gone for a week. It was just a rough time while I was away. I had a hard time getting used to the traffic patterns, not knowing where things are, etc.

Everyone was nice to me while I was away, but it was really cold out, and the office I was working in was tiny and claustrophobic. I couldn't wait to come back to DH, my house, and my neighborhood.

Although, my Indy coworkers weren't as much fun to come back to as I thought they would be. Oh well. At least everything else was as awesome as I expected.
