Saw your siggy and wanted to say CONGRATS!
We've been trying for eight months now, any tricks you wanna share?
Re: ((The_Jen626))
Oh thank you so much!!! It's pretty amazing so far!
Tricks... well, we had been TTC for 22 months. I was really focused on it, it was bad for me and DH, so we decided to take a break from trying back in December. We would go to Mexico on vacay and then come back and get back into our fertility drugs again. Well, then I got laid off in April and lost my health insurance, so that delayed our plans a few months. My new insurance started June 1st, I went to the Dr and did an "infertility intake", basically waiting for my next period to start, and then I would call her to schedule more testing (including an HSG that I was terrified of).
We had our 3 year anniversary on June 26. My StepMIL was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer right around that time. Then on July 4th, my MIL was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. She has divurculitis(sp?), it's messy (but she's fine now) and she was in ICU for 10 days. Then that same week DH's Aunt was also taken in an ambulance. So we were very stressed out about all of their health, it was a hard time for the family.
And that's when I got pregnant! So, I hate to say this SO much, but it really will happen "when you stop thinking about it". Such a bad cliche, but true for us.
And I was still having 45 day cycles, with super light periods. I'm honestly pretty amazed that I even got pregnant
I am going to tag on as well and say Congrats to Jen626...CONGRATS!
That is exciting news and wish you the best of luck in your pregnancy!
Wow Jen, that;s quite the story. How great that you conceived w/o fertility drugs!
corazon,
Are you charting? That helped me and DH get pregnant. I was lucky that I had pretty regular cycles, but by charting my temperature I found out I ovulated a few days later than I thought. I bought the Ovusoft software to keep track of my temps and joined their message boards for support. It only took us 6 months since I stopped taking the pill but it still felt like a long 6 months.

The Jen - Wow! Well...I'm so excited to hear your great news and hope your family is all well. I know every one keeps telling me to not think about it but it's hard not too. I thought that with our move here, I could take my mind off of it but I can't. I going to try harder.
esther- I am charting. My periods are regular at 31 days but really heavy. I can't figure out my ovulations...Our insurance is 80/20 so its way too much out of pocket right now to do any treatments and my OBGYN is still in California (I'm finding it too hard to change him since I've been with him for 7 years) so with his ok I consulted a homeopath who recommended I take Fertility Blend to regulate my cycle. One of the nurses I used to work with also took Fertility Blend to conceive instead of clomid and it worked for her, so I'm hopeful.
esther- just realized its a software you were talking about and not treaments - disregard my entire insurance saga.
Jen-
I wanted to come over to the Oregon boards, I was feeling really homesick, and I saw your news, Congrats!! I am so excited for you guys, that is wonderful news.
Thanks Amity!!! I can not believe you just had an anniversary, you are a regular old married lady now!!
You know I still eat dessert on my lovely "dessert plates" that you bought for our wedding : ) Thanks again love!
