So DH and I have it about once a week, it's always the same. Tonight I tried an experiment with the sauce. I started out my normal way, tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, soya sauce and chili powder (often I use a little soya sauce when I am cooking beef instead of salt because I like the taste better) Tonight I added something different. Tonight I purposely dumped half a beer in there. I only like to drink about half a beer and thought, "hey I use it when I cook sausage why not toss it into the pasta sauce and then tossed a handful of the sargento Italiano shredded cheese blend into it.
DH liked it so much he wanted to drop trow right there in the kitchen. It was a happy discovery that I felt like sharing. I have tried red wine in the sauce before and wasn't a fan. This was awesome and something I think I will have to do again.
