Baby could be here any day and we have yet to buy a baby book! I want to have one before she arrives so I can do footprints in it. I just haven't really found one that I like (not that I looked at many). Any recs ladies? I like kinda modern looking stuff...nothing too baby-ish. Thanks!
Re: Baby book recs?
I got mine on Etsy from Ruby Love. The other one I really like is the pink dots one from Pearhead. I've seen Pearhead stuff at Babies R Us. HTH!

I am also coveting the Ruby Love Designs...they're kinda pricey though. So I am torn.
I did a Google Search for baby record keepsake questions and am thinking I'll do a digital book on MyPublisher or Shutterfly, etc. I found some templates to download, etc. and I think I could design the pages I like, fill in the info, drop in photos and upload. That way I can print one for us and for each grandparent. Still formulating this idea...

Great idea, Lori! But, then again, a lot of work. Wonder if I could find the time...
I'm leaning towards the Ruby Love, even though it's kinda pricey.
THIS! is a GREAT idea! Haven't even thought about doing a baby book yet but I'm totally sold on this idea. So would you keep adding to it online throughout the year and then get it printed at the end? Even though Ruby Love Designs look fantastic, I just can't see myself spending $60 on a baby book...
I started a file called "Baby Book" and am just journaling on a Word document daily or every other day. Milestones, etc. I also have downloaded some basic questions/info that most keepsake baby books and will fill them out when I have time. When it comes to design the actual pages, I'll probably use MSPublisher or Powerpoint to create the pages and then upload to the online book company.
I got her footprints at the hospital (they did them in two places for us) and will just scan them and use them as a JPEG in the book I finally do make. Also, since J and I come from "uncoventional" families...I am always bugged by the standard family trees in baby books...our family tree is more like a bush! LOL! So I can totally customize the information I want to keep in there. Then, once I do get it printed, I'll either add a pocket to the inside back cover to hold cards, baby bracelets, etc. or just have a keepsake box for those items.
