Finally doing it.

Hey Ladies,

I think I told you about a month ago- I went to my OBGYN and we discussed the issues I've been having in regards to my monthly cycles.  My Dr. was fairly certain I have some sort of hormonal imbalance (he didn't say PCOS- just a hormonal issue, but who knows).  Anyway he wanted me to go for bloodwork.

Well I've put off that blood work, partly due to surgery and partly because well I'm scared.  But today, I put on my big girl panties, and I'm on my way to go do it.  I guess I realized that even if this means the absolute worst thing possible that we're IF- at least then I'd know... CLEARLY we wont find that out from this one visit, but you know what I mean.

 So- off I go!

You went to DeSalvo too? He is great!

OP- I hope that you get good results on your tests and that if you don't, the doctors are able to come up with a great plan of action for what to do from here.

  • Haha yeah we all sent here to him! We should get some referral money or something

  • Good for you getting the testing. I was told by a doc that she thought I had PCOS and endometriosis based on my symptoms/cycles. I opted not to do testing at the time because DH and I had no intention of getting pregnant any time soon. Well, several years later I discussed it with my new doc and simple testing showed nothing like that was really wrong. Such a relief.
  • Awe thanks ladies!  I'm looking forward to getting the results and moving forward!!

It's so nice to have a group of people who understand and are in similar stages of their lives- thank you again for all of your support!

  • Good luck Jen.  I've been in your shoes years ago trying to figure out a hormonal imbalance and it is really scary to take that step but hopefully it will lead to them being able to get a plan started for you.
