If you had a new baby and were home and someone were to stock your freezer with meals, what would you like?
Re: ??

homemade? chili, stews, and soups. no beans, and no pasta in the soup. also, pasta sauce (i can boil my own pasta fresh).
Enchiladas.
Homemade macaroni and cheese.
What TT said. I'd also like side dishes- like the rice packages and frozen veg. I'd also like one fresh salad.
I had a bunch of proteins stocked, but didn't have sides and veggies.
Thanks ladies. Looks like I'll be making:
Lasagna, Mac & Cheese, some frozen steam-fresh veggies and maybe something else...not sure what yet.
Ditto.
How can you forget DESSERT!
Cookies is a good idea especially with a 3 year old. You could do sorbets, icecream, pecan pie...
These cookies are easy to make and keep well frozen:
Part 1:
2 c crushed graham crackers
1 stick of butter + 1 Tbsp.
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Melt butter and brown sugar in microwave then add graham crackers and mix well.
Press into 9X12 pan
Bake at 350 for 10 min and let cool
Part 2:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Add coconut until thick
Add to top of prepared crust
Broil until brown
Cool before moving to step 3
Step 3:
1/2 c. butterscotch chips
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 stick butter + 1 tsp.
6 tbsp peanut butter
Put them all in a microwaveable bowl
Microwave until partially melted, stir, microwave until fully melted.
Pour mixture over top of coconut, chill, cut into squares, layer with wax paper, freeze.
