Gotta love Nashvegas...
So it's snowing and getting icy. I bolted from work early, see what I can get done at home. HR will likely make the final call later today if they haven't already done so.
Roads were still kinda sorta driveable (took double the time to get home, in 4wd). But the problem isn't the roads being snowed and iced over. It's the crashes and the idiots that park their cars and abandon them in the middle of the street. The roads around work will be a parking lot in a few hours. One interstate already is.
Hope you like work sleepovers, those that want to "wait it out". I'll take my chances with a 1-2 hour commute home.

this was the entire highway system in NY yesterday morning. it wasn't even that bad, but everyone lost their mind apparently during rush hour when it started to sprinkle snow lightly. EVERY highway had a closure due to a bad accident. some people took 3+ hours to get to work, others turned around and went home. i got here 30 minutes late because i know shortcuts.
it's pathetic that people are is so much of a hurry in the mornings that crap like this happens, all because no one retains common sense.
