So, I don't think we are going to get the house. Frankly, the sellers are asking way too much money for it in this market. Then, we got confirmation from the state (my dad knows the guy who is the head of septic approvals) that the house has to have an upgraded septic, like now! We've gone back and forth with the sellers all week and finally on Friday night we gave them 3 options: Less money without septic, slightly more money with brand new septic or give me my DAMNN deposit money back. Ugh. We are still waiting to hear their verdict. I'm disappointed but if this doesn't work we'll find something else. It just kills me how much houses are down here. I was looking up by my parents and we could get so much more for the money. Unfortunately, I can't find a job up there.
Re: House update of sorts
Sarah,
That is super crappy about the house, but I am sure you'll find your dream house soon (wether it be this house, or another house). It took Carl and I FOREVER to find something. We tried looking up here but like you said, it is SOOOO expensive. We finally settled down near the cape (like 15 minutes outside it) that is family owned because it is cheaper. Sucks that it'll be so far away from EVERYONE though.
Keep your chin up and i'll keep you guys in my thoughts!
