Removing Rust..

Hi :)  Do you know of any good ways to remove rust from a shower?  Stupid shaving cream made a lovely little ring in ours.

Thank you in advance :)

Re: Removing Rust..

  • You can probably get that out with a good scrub of baking soda or Bon Ami. Or go the not EF route and get something for rust from your hardware store.  I've done both with success.
  • Baking soda and a sturdy scrubber.  I bet those creepy mr. clean sponges work, too, if you already have one around.

  • Thanks.  I tried CLR and it didn't work, just made the house stink haha.  I'll try the backing soda and then Mr. Clean.  Hopefully the soda will work :)

  • Hey Emmy!  That happened to me once or twice.  Now I just keep the shaving cream bottle upside down so it rests on it's plastic cap all day and not the metal bottom.  One of those "Duh, why didn't I think of that before?" moments for me.  Smile

  • Bar Keeper's Friend takes it right out and I'm sure the Magic Eraser would work too.
