XP: laser printer emissions ?
My boss (who is fairly Green) told me that laser printers have been
sited as having emissions issues, although he wasn't sure exactly
what. I have googled a bit, and came up with some concerns of ozone
emissions and particulate emissions from toner, etc.
Anyone
heard about this? Have further details or a good place to look? Do
you know if laser jet printers have this issue as well? Any idea on
how to find out which models have these issues and which don't? I can
get a bit of info on the ozone, but so far, no current information on
which ones have the issue with particulate matter.
Thanks!

Re: XP: laser printer emissions ?
Go to the particular manufacturer website for the product line and review any materials they may have on their Environmental Policies. Many manufacturers now use eco friendly packaging, materials, shipping policies and have recycling programs. Most major manufactuers are also ISO certified and have international standard they live up to for their products and manufacturing policies.
Really, really old equipment (10-15+ years ago) contained hazardous materials but most products now are much more eco (and health) friendly.
I work around printers all day long....
