Those "50 books in 2010" siggies -

Am I the only one who thinks, "Only 50?" I mean, I know I have more time than the average bear, but even when I was working, I could go through 2-3 books in a week, depending on how long they were. (Well, 1 Stephen King, but he equals like 5 regular 200-pagers.)

Maybe it's my light fiction habit, but 50 seems like a low goal.

  • I'll be lucky if I tackle 10.

  • Maybe H is right: I do have a problem. What would they do in Book Rehab? Stick you in front of a TV all day?

  • I love reading, and go through books really quickly, but I don't have time to read 50 books in a year. I wouldn't get anything else done!

  • I spend way too much time running.

  • For lightfiction, it does seem low.

If at least a few of them are 'heavy' then it's decent.

I think I"m on 5 so far in 2010 but they were pretty fluffy.

  • if i didn't have a full time job this would be super easy - as it is i can go through a 500+ page book in a day - i just don't have a lot of time to do so.

I usually go through at least 3 books on a week long business trip - lots of time on the plane or in the airport.

most of the books i read are more than 400 pages

  • it's definetly due to my commute...but i read 50 books in 3 months last year so for me, yes 50 seems a little low.
  • I'm only able to read at the gym, for the most part so I am close to finishing my first of 2010. 50 does not seem low, but if I traveled more (I can finish a book per 5 hour plane ride) or had more reading time, I could probably do it. I tend to read really heavy stuff though.
