Controversy in SD - WDWWT?
http://www.10news.com/news/22360947/detail.html
Teacher accused of molestation, acquited after trial. Reinstatement required by law, but a lot of opposition.
Also, the picture that accompanies the article on the main page has people with signs supporting the accuser. One says "Your not alone" and his held by a teenager. I am evil because I laugh every time and think "maybe they need a better teacher."

Re: Controversy in SD - WDWWT?
I was interested to hear the outcome on this case. Considering I wasn't on the jury and didn't hear all the evidence, I can't say there wasn't the possibility that they couldn't prove guilt beyond that shadow of doubt, but at the same time, it sounds like the accuser has a history of lying and being manipulative.
Hard to say, but given she was found not guilty by a jury of her peers, she should be reinstated.
to me, is it worth this person being punished even though they may be innocent? is this teacher an awesome teacher regardless of the accusation?
here's my thing. i was going to post something completely different until i actually read the article.
teachers should know enough to not have sex with students, even if it is consensual. on that alone i think she should be punished.
why does it seem like college professors risk more serious consequence if they have an adult consenual relationship with a student?
