I also like Harpoon Henry's in Dana Point, but only for one specific entree. The Yelp reviews for it overall look a little iffy though.
Cosmo's Italian Kitchen - it's this little hole in the wall in AV that has AMAZING food. My mouth is watering thinking of their lobster ravioli right now.
Sorrento Grill - Laguna Beach. Y to the UM.
Cannon's Seafood Grill - Dana Point. Great seafood and great view.

I hate driving to Laguna
But I'm open to trying new things.
I was excited to have dinny with H tonight since he's been gone and will be gone again next week but he just called to say his trip is extended. Looks like it's martinis and leftovers for dinner for me on my own.
