Friday Wellness!

I did sooo much better this week because I knew I was going to have to come check in here! Yay for nestie motivation!

I managed 30 minutes of cardio every day. I did eat out for lunch twice this week, but watched my calories. If I can keep up with the cardio, I am going to be adding strength into my training.

How did everyone else do? Any obstacles or accomplishments?

  • I did pretty well on working out, did 45 minutes on the exercise bike each morning Mon - Thurs. I skipped this morning because when I woke up, I felt like I couldn't move my body. It was if my legs were made of bricks. So, I decided a little extra sleep would be more beneficial.

    Food wise, I stunk this week :(  For some reason I have been hitting the vending machine at work and I even drank regular soda 3 times this week....I NEVER drink regular soda. Ugh. But, I have to let it go and get back on track next week.

    I've been really busy this week at work and haven't had much time to do eprsonal stuff, but I promise to try and add some posts next week!

  • Hey thanks for the nice comment! I should compliment you too for listening to your body and knowing when enough is enough...and for all your hard work this past week. I think even if for one week you give into vending machine temptation, at least you are working out and doing damage control:) 

    If I could figure out how to do smileys on my macbook, I would insert big thumbs up here!

  • I've been really good about tracking food in sparkpeople.com this week.  Not so good about exercising :-(  I lost a pound though!

  • Yay for the one lost pound!!! I need to start tracking my food again. It really does help to make better choices when you know you're going to have to log this in your food diary.

  • I was pretty horrible about working out most of the week. I went dancing and worked out a week ago Saturday and then got hit by tremendous TOM issues and was sidelined the rest of the week pretty much. I did do a 10K + walk yesterday and then helped my hubby out in the yard. It was a great deal of work and I'm sore as heck today. I am hoping to get trained up for the San Antonio Rock N Roll 1/2 Marathon in November so I need to keep adding miles to my walks when I go and do them but I need to remember I need to BUILD up not just JUMP in with both feet on a total of 7.66 miles of walking like yesterday. Today I know I won't be doing much because I'm still too tender to do a lot but I will get some in. I also have decided to put in a workout reminder to my daily calendar on my Blackberry. :) Can't keep ignoring those.

     

    Way to go everyone who has done so well this past week. We need to keep up the good work week to week! 

  • I am very impressed with everyone's great work this week! I'm really good about remembering to log my food and workouts (I use an app on my iPhone called livestrong), but not always so good about sticking to my daily allowance. Those extra 100-150 cals a day start adding up fast, grrr. I have an exam on Wed so I'm kind of in study-munching mode at the moment, but I'm hoping I can have a better report next week. Keep up the good work ladies!
